Walk To School Day!!

On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 the middle school participated in the National Walk To School Day campaign. As an initiative to get students to choose the healthier option of walking to school as opposed to riding in a gasoline-powered vehicle, it works great for schools with all or most students living within walking distance. Considering half our student population lives too far to feasibly walk, we modify it a bit. Faculty members meet the students in the commons at the start of school, and set out on a mile-long course walking around residential areas of Cedar Grove, and back to the school. Quite an invigorating way to start the day!!
